In remembrance, we honor the legacy and mourn the loss of Richard Serra, an unparalleled visionary in the realm of Contemporary Art, whose monumental Minimalist sculpture transformed our understanding of space and materiality. While his profound use and exploration of industrial steel brought him international acclaim, his works on paper were also groundbreaking for their highly textural surfaces and spatial mass. Robischon Gallery has had the privilege to exhibit many Serra works over the past two decades including solos featuring his large scale prints “Equal”, “Ballast”, “Line Heat”, and “Transversal”.
