Artist Terry Maker was recently acknowledged with an extensive feature in The Denver Post, by writer Ray Mark Rinaldi lauding her current solo exhibition "Traces" at Robischon Gallery. Throughout her decades of creating sculptural amalgamations and works on paper, Maker’s investigation is prompted by human psychology, material exploration, and scientific discovery. Invoking the vastness of the celestial merged with the familiarity of every-day life, Maker uses the circle as a conceptual building block in her far-reaching dynamic explorations. The dualism of the circle vacillates between the commonplace and the cosmic, allowing Maker to invite her audience to consider universal tensions and existential questions.
