Danae Falliers

“Semi”, Danae Falliers’ new series of photographs, expounds on the artist’s on-going exploration of the subject of the American open road through a decidedly expressive lens.  Falliers redirects the traditional view of the endless highway into a visual experience that is felt and more immediate as she contrasts abstraction with representational imagery; movement with stillness.  Riding on the edge of photography and painting, the artist uses her considerable technical skill and imagination to create a series that covers territory that is both dynamic and contemplative.
